Carrageenan

In partnership with Hispanagar , Oppenheimer NZ offers the New Zealand food industry a complete range of carrageenan. Carrageenan is a natural product extracted from red Rhodophyceae seaweeds through a range of methods including alcohol precipitation. It results in a product widely used in the food industry as a gelling agent, a thickener or a stabiliser.

As the demand for specific applications grows, Hispanagar is using a wider variety of red seaweeds. Whether it is a kappa, iota, lambda or a blend, Hispanagar has a product for every application.
